As Black History Month comes to an end, an old topic is getting new attention in the halls of Congress — reparations for slavery.
On this week’s episode of Tying It Together With Tim Boyum, Tim talks with one of the world’s foremost experts on the subject, Dr. William A. “Sandy” Darity Jr. During a hearing in February, Congress discussed studying possible slavery reparations and what that could look like.
Listen in as Darity, a professor at Duke University and co-author of the book From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century, makes his case for reparations, explains how it could work, and discusses the impact he believes it would have on our country.
