Tying It Together with Tim Boyum

Dec 16, 2020

Imagine being so good at producing a product that you are asked to personally deliver it to the President of the United States. That is exactly what happened to Avery County native and Christmas tree farmer Larry Smith.

On this week’s episode of Tying It Together with Tim Boyum, Tim talks with Smith about winning the national contest in 2018 to provide the White House with its official tree to be placed in the Blue Room.

Two years later, Smith is still delivering trees to Washington and has some unbelievable stories to tell. From the time his grandson vomited in the White House right before the president arrived, to the time he had to tell his girlfriend he would wear overalls instead of a suit to the White House, you don’t want to miss these fun stories of Christmas and politics.
